AI illustrationCoffee on the balcony, no agenda.
The covered balcony runs along the façade, facing south and west. The sun catches the rock, the espresso machine hums in the kitchen, and breakfast stretches on.
A former stagecoach inn from 1905, its larch balconies, and views over the mountain pastures and gorges. A chalet to simply rest.
Days follow the light. The rhythm of the chalet is that of the alpine pastures: slow, generous, with no schedule.
A coffee on the balcony when the sun touches the Leschaux rock. A book in the garden, between the hedges and the trees. The sound of the Borne rising from the gorges. At nightfall, a barbecue, then the Milky Way above the gorges.
It is a chalet to enjoy indoors as much as outdoors, to truly rest: with family, with friends, or as a couple.
A day at the chalet
Close by rises the Glières plateau, a major site of memory of the French Resistance.
In 1944, hundreds of maquisards gathered there. Today the plateau is home to the National Monument to the Resistance; you can walk it in summer, or cross-country ski and snowshoe in winter.
It is a place that is both solemn and gentle, where you feel well: people come for the calm, the nature and the remembrance.
Walk on Glières
No itinerary. A series of simple moments, at the pace of the mountain pastures.

AI illustrationThe landscaped garden, the hedges, the trees. Children bounce on the trampoline with its safety net, away from the road. Grown-ups read, or do absolutely nothing.
AI illustrationA barbecue extends the day outdoors. Afterwards, the kitchen becomes the heart of the house: island, induction hob, and everything you need for a proper raclette or fondue.
The neighbors are 400 meters away. When the sky is clear, the Milky Way spreads above the Évaux. You can hear the Borne far below.
The scenes marked “AI illustration” were created with artificial intelligence from photos of the chalet. The people shown do not exist. All the other photos on this site are real photos of the chalet.
A former stagecoach inn from 1905: stone ground floor, larch barn above. The original woodwork and certain period details, such as the 1980s tiling, were kept and completed with a touch of modernity.
